Winter in Whistler
Whistler Ski ResortIf you are indeed a skiing fanatic, you'll be interested in knowing that Ski Magazine just voted Whistler the #3 ski resort in North America. It's easy to see why.

Boasting two mountains, Whistler and Blackcomb, connected by a pristine pedestrian village, this resort offers more than 8,000 ski-able acres, over 200 trails, 33 lifts to get you to the top of the mountains, and 12 Alpine bowls for advanced skiers.

There's also a separate family zone for beginners and families who want to ski together, as well as terrain parks and pipes for snowboarders. There's plenty of room for cross country enthusiasts as well.

Don't forget to try your hand at dogsledding or snowmobiling while on your Whistler ski vacation. Or enjoy an exciting Ziptrek tour, where you can zip through the Alpine forest canopy on thick cables that run from tree to tree. There's nothing like it!

If you've come to Whistler-Blackcomb Ski Resort just to enjoy the beautiful scenery or for a little rest and relaxation, there are many opportunites for that. Take in a sleighride, do a little shopping, enjoy a hot meal at one of the village restaurants, or join in on the resort's exciting nightlife. The après ski scene here is second-to-none.

Warm Weather Pursuits
What does the Whistler resort do with all those ski trails during the spring, summer, and fall? They turn them into a veritable playground for summer sports enthusiasts!

This is a mountain biker's delight! You'll love soaring down Whistler and Blackcomb on some of the best single tracks in North America. The view from the top of the mountain is breathtaking and the feeling as you're whizzing down the mountain is even more amazing.

Hiking at WhistlerMany of the trails are also used for hiking during the warm months. Or if you prefer, just catch a gondola to the top of the mountain and enjoy a BBQ dinner with a view or a stimulating yoga class.

The kids will love the Blackcomb Base Adventure Zone. Here you'll find mini golf, a climbing wall, a luge, the Amazen Maze, the incredible Kiss the Sky bungee trampoline, and the Great Canadian Trapeze. Awesome!

Mountaineering and glacier hiking are also popular warm weather sports at the Whistler resort. In addition, you may want to go horseback riding through the pristine forest or take a helicopter tour high above the resort's spectacular terrain.
