Leisure Time Places

ResortQuest Waimea Plantation offers Peace, Solitude

Nestled amidst a quiet coconut grove, ResortQuest Waimea Plantation lets you experience the lush tropical paradise that is Kauai.

Dubbed the Garden Isle, beautiful Kauai is a Hawaiian paradise for those who want a little more than crowded beaches, touristy attractions, and noisy luaus. Kauai is perfect for the adventure traveler who's looking for something off-the-beaten-track and the ResortQuest Waimea Plantation cottages are the ideal place to stay for such a visit.

About Kauai
Very different from the heavily-visited islands of Oahu, Maui, and the Big Island, Kauai is dubbed The Garden Isle, thanks to its lush greenery. Here you'll find gorgeous beaches but also rainforests, volcanoes, and other sites that evoke thoughts of pre-tourist Hawaii.

Waimea Canyon, often referred to as "The Grand Canyon of the West," is simply spectacular and the amazing Na Pali Coast provides scenery like nothing you've ever seen. You can visit art museums one day and sugar plantations the next. You can eat in five-star restaurants or stop by the side of the road to purchase a juicy pineapple.

Kauai isn't for everyone, but if you're hoping to experience the real Hawaii, this is where you'll want to be.

About the Resort
ResortQuest Waimea Plantation, formerly Aston Waimea Plantation, is a development of seaside cottages nestled amongst a 27-acre coconut grove. The cottages are all part of an historic plantation but have been renovated to feature the most modern conveniences as well as comfortable, welcoming furnishings that beckon you to sit down and rest awhile.

Visitors can choose from a huge selection of cottage sizes at Waimea Plantation, ranging from hotel rooms and small studios to five bedroom oceanfront cottages. Except for the hotel rooms, each unit boasts a full kitchen.

Price will determine where your cottage is located. Some are oceanfront while others enjoy a beautiful view of the grove and the lush grounds.

Amenities
This resort endeavors to make your stay as comfortable as possible, with numerous amenities for your convenience. Kitchens include refrigerators, ovens, coffee makers, and all the pots, pans, dishes, and silverware you'll need. Laundry facilities are onsite and each room has an iron and ironing board. Linens and towels are provided.

There's an onsite day spa that offers massage services and other spa treatments, for plenty of pampering.

The resort's restaurant, The Waimea Brewing Company, is the place to gather in the evening to taste a variety of fine homemade brews. They also offer traditional pub fare, some authentic Hawaiian dishes, and delectable desserts.

Activities
You can enjoy a number of wonderful activities either onsite or within just a short distance of the ResortQuest Waimea Plantation.

There's a beautiful pool on the grounds as well as tennis courts and a large beach covered with Kauai's famous black sand. Nearby, there are plenty of places to go fishing or enjoy a round of golf.

Because Kauai isn't a terribly large island, driving to any of the other four regions isn't difficult. There are plenty of must-sees in Kauai and your concierge or front desk staff can help you with directions or assist you in securing reservations for tours of sites such as the Waimea Canyon.

Book a Special
The ResortQuest Waimea Plantation offers a number of specials throughout the year, including early bird rates for those who plan far in advance and "kids stay, play, and eat free" plans. Honeymooners are heartily welcomed (you can even hold your wedding here!) and are treated to great extras during their stay.
